HorrorHound Weekend Is Back

The annual horror movie, television and pop culture convention is back! With it comes the return of the HorrorHound International Film Festival this weekend. If you miss the festivities, the HorrorHound Rewind online event has you covered!

The award winning bi-monthly horror periodical, HorrorHound Magazine is hosting the return of HorrorHound Weekend in Cincinnati, Ohio on September 10-12, 2021. This special event offers horror fans the opportunity to meet some of the biggest icons in horror history, shop a selection of horror merchandise and rare collectibles from over 100 vendors in time for Halloween and much more. In addition to the convention, you can attend film screenings and world premieres at the HorrorHound International Film Festival, attend special celebrity Q&A panels and meet the staff of the magazine.

It's been 30 months since HorrorHound delighted horror fans in Cincinnati and with it's return, comes a special online event, HorrorHound Rewind. That's right, the event is offering a hybrid opportunity! Three days of horror entertainment featuring a Virtual HorrorHound Film Festival experience screening some of the most exciting new indie horror feature films and shorts. The virtual event will be hosted September 23-26, 2021.

Programming will continue through midnight on Friday and Saturday, while the weekend-long event will include a number of surprises, including introductions by filmmakers, filmmaker panels and celebrity Q&A sessions. While the livestream is occurring, fans can also participate in a feature chat talking with one another while the films are streaming. This includes chat sessions in which the filmmakers will be participating in as well. The event is also offering a live Viewing Party option where attendees can participate in live video chats during the films' livestreams. If you thought that was a lot, wait, there's more. The virtual event will also include new original content, special after-hours entertainment, a virtual vendor room, flashback videos to past HorrorHound Weekend events, exclusive HorrorHound merchandise sale opportunities, and more! Tickets to the online virtual event are a steal for any horror fan.

HorrorHound is expecting some iconic celebrity guests with photo ops available all weekend long for horror fans. Special appearances include Robert Englund (A Nightmare on Elm Street, Urban Legend), Nick Castle (Halloween, Halloween Kills, Escape From New York), Danielle Harris (Halloween 4 & 5, Hatchet, Stake Land), PJ Soles (Halloween, Carrie, The Devil's Rejects), Jordyn Dinatale (The Fear Street Trilogy as Ruby Lane) and Michael Rooker (The Walking Dead, Slither) to name just a few. In addition to celebrity guests, you don't want to miss out on the incredible vendors. Confirmed vendors include Hidden Realm Studios, Nightmares Unlimited, Pallbearer Press, 1984 Publishing, the Buffalo Bill House experience and many more.

HorrorHound Weekend is sponsored by the Brimstone Haunt, a terrifying collection of four haunted scare experiences not for the faint of heart. Haunts include the Brimstone Farm Haunted Hayride, the Forgotten Forest, a Zombie Assault and the most intense experience of all, Psychosis. The Brimstone Haunt is located in Wilmington, Ohio. The experience opens the last week of September 2021.

Event tickets are still available online and at the door. If you purchased a ticket for the physical event that was originally planned for March 2020, your ticket is good for this year's in-person event. Can't attend? Your previously purchased ticket is redeemable through 2024 for any future HorrorHound Weekend event. A ticket for HorrorHound Weekend grants ticket-holder admission into all HorrorHound vendor areas, including the HorrorHound Film Festival and HorrorHound Weekend Q&A Panel Room! To top the event off, you can celebrate the return of the convention by attending an '80s Scareoke Dance Party, hosted by Blue Sky Entertainment! It's a costume party, so be sure to show up in your era appropriate attire.
