Writer and director Zach Cregger's second feature film Barbarian (2022) is a chilling horror-thriller starring Georgina Campbell (Black Mirror), Bill Skarsgård (IT, Castle Rock), and Justin Long (House of Darkness). Its tagline, "Some stay for a night. Some stay for a week. Some never leave," promises dark twists, turns, and terror. The synopsis reads:

“In town for a job interview, a young woman arrives at her Airbnb late at night only to find that her rental has been mistakenly double-booked and a strange man is already staying there. Against her better judgment, she decides to stay the night anyway, but soon discovers that there is much more to be afraid of in the house than the other house guest.”

The teaser trailer released on June 23, 2022, leaves us with many questions about Tess (Campbell) and Keith (Skarsgård) and intrigued by the fast-paced anxiety-inducing motion of it all. Scares won’t be in short supply and we yearn to learn more about what sinister experiments lurk beneath the house.

From 20th Century Studios and New Regency, Barbarian also stars Matthew Patrick Davis, Richard Brake, Kurt Braunohler, and Jaymes Butler. The producers are Arnon Milchan, Roy Lee, Raphael Margules and J.D. Lifshitz. Yariv Milchan, Michael Schaefer, Natalie Lehmann, Danny Chan, Alex Lebovici, and Bill Skarsgård also serve as executive producers.

Barbarian will release theatrically only in theaters on August 31, 2022.
